Job Title: Accounts Payable Clerk
Job Overview:
Contemporary Staffing Solutions is seeking an Accounts Payable Clerk to join our client to support accurate and timely financial operations across the organization. This temporary role is based onsite in Allentown, Pennsylvania and plays a key part in ensuring vendors are paid correctly while maintaining strong internal controls. The position focuses on transaction accuracy, regulatory compliance, and responsive vendor support. It is well suited for a detail oriented professional who enjoys hands on accounting work in a collaborative office environment.
Work Schedule:
Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM
Key Responsibilities of the Accounts Payable Clerk:

• Manage end to end accounts payable processing, including invoices, credit memos, check requests, and payment documentation across multiple entities
• Prepare and support payment disbursement activities such as positive pay files, void files, and related controls to ensure secure and timely payments
• Review vendor statements and reconcile activity to confirm invoices and credits are properly recorded and resolved
• Maintain accurate vendor records by monitoring master file data and communicating required updates or discrepancies
• Research and resolve exceptions such as received not invoiced items, cost or quantity variances, invoices on hold, and out of balance transactions

Qualifications and Skills for the Accounts Payable Clerk:

• Two to three years of experience in accounts payable, finance, or a closely related accounting function
• Working knowledge of computerized accounts payable systems and general office software applications
• Familiarity with regulatory requirements affecting invoice processing and payment documentation
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet processing deadlines
• Clear communication skills and a service oriented approach when working with vendors and internal teams
