Description

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations across a diverse patient demographic, employing both standardized assessments and observational methods.
• Craft individualized treatment plans designed to meet both immediate and ongoing communication, cognitive, or swallowing objectives.
• Deliver focused speech therapy interventions that promote language proficiency, fluency, voice modulation, and swallowing effectiveness.
• Foster collaborative relationships with multidisciplinary teams, including physical and occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, and families, to develop integrated care approaches.
• Educate patients and their families to encourage and support progress between therapy sessions.
• Participate in inpatient therapy evaluations and interventions, ensuring seamless continuity of care throughout the patient's experience.
• Maintain thorough and accurate clinical documentation in line with state, federal, and organizational standards.
• Pursue continuous professional development to stay abreast of advancements in the field through education and networking.

Education

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not yet ASHA-certified.

Certifications

• Active state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
• Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA is preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required within 30 days of hiring.
