- Conduct comprehensive evaluations across a diverse patient demographic, employing both standardized assessments and observational methods.
- Craft individualized treatment plans designed to meet both immediate and ongoing communication, cognitive, or swallowing objectives.
- Deliver focused speech therapy interventions that promote language proficiency, fluency, voice modulation, and swallowing effectiveness.
- Foster collaborative relationships with multidisciplinary teams, including physical and occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, and families, to develop integrated care approaches.
- Educate patients and their families to encourage and support progress between therapy sessions.
- Participate in inpatient therapy evaluations and interventions, ensuring seamless continuity of care throughout the patient's experience.
- Maintain thorough and accurate clinical documentation in line with state, federal, and organizational standards.
- Pursue continuous professional development to stay abreast of advancements in the field through education and networking.
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
- Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not yet ASHA-certified.
- Active state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
- Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA is preferred.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required within 30 days of hiring.
- In-depth knowledge and expertise in evidence-based treatment modalities applicable to all ages, encompassing an understanding of both developmental and acquired speech, language, and swallowing disorders.
- Exceptional communication skills, engaging effectively with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams.
- Adept at adjusting therapy techniques to honor varied cultural and linguistic backgrounds.
- Strong clinical assessment and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient in electronic medical records and documentation practices.
