Senior Litigation Associate

Jenner & Block LLP ( is seeking a mid‑level or senior associate, with 3‑6 years of experience, to join the litigation practice in our busy and growing San Francisco office. Responsibilities Prepare for and attend depositions. Draft pleadings and motion briefings. Handle case management responsibilities, including assigning and supervising work, planning and hosting team meetings and training, and managing case budget and staffing. Meet and confer with opposing counsel. Work with experts on expert reports. Draft discovery requests and responses. Attend court hearings and conduct oral arguments. Conduct legal research. Perform document review. Maintain an active pro bono practice. Design document review plan and manage document review and training. Qualifications Juris Doctor (JD) degree. 3‑6 years of experience as an attorney in litigation. Demonstrated experience in all aspects of discovery. Demonstrated experience drafting pleadings such as complaints and answers. Demonstrated experience drafting and arguing substantive motions in both federal and state courts. Demonstrated case management experience. Detail‑oriented, independent self‑starter with excellent written and oral communication skills. Strong academic credentials. Commitment to pro‑bono representation. Ability to work in a fast‑paced, collaborative team environment. Membership in the California bar. Compensation The starting base salary for this position is expected to be $260,000 – $390,000 annually.
