Experienced Service Advisor

Nelson Auto, a family-owned dealership serving North Dakota communities, is looking for a customer-focused Experienced Service Advisor to join our service team at our Williston, ND dealership. The Service Advisor plays a vital role in dealership operations by acting as the primary connection between customers and technicians. In this fast-paced, people-focused position, you will help customers understand their vehicle service needs, coordinate repair schedules, and ensure work moves efficiently through the shop. This role offers strong career growth opportunities — many of our Service Managers began their careers as Service Advisors. Key Responsibilities Greet customers and listen carefully to vehicle concerns and service needs Schedule service appointments and manage daily shop workflow Communicate repair recommendations, timelines, and costs clearly to customers Serve as the liaison between technicians and customers Monitor repair progress to ensure efficient turnaround times Review completed work with customers and explain services performed Collaborate with service and dealership leadership to maintain smooth operations Deliver an exceptional customer experience from check-in through vehicle pickup Reliably commute daily to Williston, ND Qualifications Previous Service Advisor, automotive technician, or customer service experience required Previous dealership experience required Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to multitask and stay organized in a fast-paced environment Basic understanding of automotive systems or willingness to learn Professional, team-oriented attitude Computer proficiency and ability to learn dealership software systems Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record Benefits: 401(k) 401(k) matching Dental insurance Employee discount Health insurance Paid time off Vision insurance Compensation: $60,000 - $90,000 per year We are an equal opportunity employer that is committed to diversity and inclusion in the workplace.
