ICU Float Pool Registered Nurse

Location: Montlake, WA

Assignment Duration: This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule: Night shift, 3x12 hours (19:00 - 07:30). Weekend work is required.

Job Description: The ICU Float Pool Registered Nurse will provide high-quality nursing care in various intensive care and medical-surgical settings within the hospital. The role requires the ability to adapt to different patient care environments and effectively manage critical and complex patient conditions.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver comprehensive care to critically ill patients with varying medical conditions.
• Monitor patients' vital signs and manage diagnostic equipment, including ventilators and IV sedation.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, including monitoring the effects of IV drips and cardiothoracic care.
• Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and communicate effectively with healthcare providers and family members.
• Adhere to infection prevention protocols and isolation precautions.
• Float within the hospital and may assist in acute care units as necessary.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• Minimum 2 years of ICU nursing experience.
• Current certifications in ACLS and BLS are required.
• Experience with neuro and cardiac patients, including management of ventilated patients.
• Familiarity with Epic charting system is mandatory.
