Our client is seeking Field Support Technician for New York city, NY

Role Description
• We are seeking a customer-focused Field Support Technician to provide onsite and remote technical support across multiple locations throughout the New York metropolitan area.
• This role combines white-glove customer service with hands-on desktop support, technical troubleshooting, PC deployments, and network diagnostics.
• The ideal candidate will have strong Microsoft support experience, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work directly with non-technical users in a professional environment.
• This position requires frequent travel to accessory sites and offers the opportunity to convert to a permanent employee after a successful contract period.
• Provide onsite and remote desktop support for end users.
• Troubleshoot hardware, software, operating system, and connectivity issues.
• Perform PC audits, network assessments, and internet speed testing to identify and resolve performance issues.
• Support technical upgrades, installations, migrations, and system deployments.
• Provide hands-on support for Cisco network environments, including basic troubleshooting of switches, routers, connectivity issues, and network performance concerns.
• Install, terminate, and test network cabling as needed to support office and site infrastructure projects.
• Utilize the Ivanti HEAT ticketing system to document incidents, manage service requests, track resolutions, and maintain accurate support records.
• Manage and resolve support tickets efficiently while maintaining excellent customer service.
• Deliver high-touch, white-glove support to end users, including executives and high-maintenance customers.
• Document issues, resolutions, and technical procedures.
• Travel to various client locations throughout Manhattan, Queens, Long Island, New Jersey, and Connecticut as needed.
• Learn and support proprietary systems, desktops, firewalls, and network environments.
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure timely issue resolution and project completion.

Skills and Requirement
• Experience in desktop support, field support, or technical support environments.
• Strong Microsoft Windows and Microsoft 365 support skills.
• Hands-on experience supporting PCs, laptops, software applications, printers, and peripheral devices.
• Experience working with ticketing systems, preferably Ivanti HEAT.
• Basic understanding of Cisco networking technologies, including network troubleshooting and connectivity support.
• Experience running, terminating, and troubleshooting network cabling.
• Hands-on experience with hardware installations, upgrades, and deployments.
• Strong troubleshooting skills across desktop, network, and application environments.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.
• Strong customer service mindset with experience providing white-glove support.
• Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage travel schedules effectively.
• Experience supporting multi-site environments or field service operations.
• Exposure to Cisco switches, routers, firewalls, and network infrastructure.
• Experience providing white-glove support to executives or high-touch end users.
• Familiarity with desktop imaging, deployments, and large-scale hardware refresh projects.
