About the role HealthFitness has a great opportunity for a part-time/on-call Lifeguard at our client site located in . As a lifeguard, you will be responsible for monitoring and ensuring a safe and friendly environment for all of the aquatic facility members and guests. Key Accountabilities- Monitor and ensure safety and well-being of patrons using the aquatic facilities.
- Enforce and explain rules as necessary.
- Respond appropriately to any emergency.
- Perform chemical testing and documents results for three bodies of water and a hot tub four times a day.
- Attend all required staff meetings and training.
- Ensure that needs of the aquatic center are being met by folding towels; cleaning; filling water machines; and inspecting the Aquatics Facility to ensure safe environment for members.
- Maintain a professional attitude.
- Other duties as needed/assigned.
- Must be at least 16 years old.
- American Red Cross Lifeguarding with CPR/AED for Professional Rescuers and First Aid certification.
- Meet HealthFitness Fitness and Skill standards.
- Be dependable, alert and able to interact with people of all ages in a positive manner with strong customer service skills.
- Computer proficiency in MS Office including Word, Excel and Outlook; and working knowledge of the member management system, databases, and tools.
- 500 yard swim.
- Active, Passive, Submerged rescues.
- Spinal injury management in shallow and deep water.
- Other various techniques that were learned during the Lifeguard Training Program.
