At Accurate Forklift, we know that exceptional customer service begins with exceptional communication. We are seeking a dependable, organized, and customer-focused Service Dispatcher to coordinate the daily activities of our field service technicians.

This position plays a vital role in delivering outstanding service by scheduling technicians, coordinating repair requests, communicating with customers, and ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and on time.

The ideal candidate is highly organized, thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys solving problems, and takes pride in providing excellent customer service while supporting both customers and technicians.

Essential Responsibilities

• Answer incoming service requests by phone, email, and other communication channels.
• Schedule and dispatch field service technicians based on geographic location, technician skill level, availability, and service priority.
• Coordinate preventive maintenance schedules for customer and company-owned equipment while maintaining recurring service intervals.
• Create, update, and manage service work orders using company software.
• Coordinate emergency, priority, and same-day service requests.
• Communicate technician estimated arrival times, repair progress, and job completion updates with customers.
• Monitor technician schedules throughout the day and adjust assignments as priorities change.
• Coordinate with the Parts Department to ensure required parts are available and minimize equipment downtime.
• Maintain accurate service records, dispatch logs, customer information, and scheduling documentation.
• Review completed work orders for accuracy and completeness before processing.
• Follow up with customers to confirm satisfaction after service is completed.
• Assist with warranty processing, invoicing support, and other administrative duties as needed.
• Work closely with the Service Manager to maximize technician productivity, efficiency, and customer satisfaction.
• Maintain professional, courteous communication with customers, vendors, and fellow employees.
• Support Accurate Forklift's commitment to providing prompt, reliable, and exceptional customer service.

Qualifications

Required

• High school diploma or GED.
• Minimum of two (2) years of experience in dispatching, scheduling, customer service, or service coordination.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and computer-based scheduling systems.
• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and remain organized in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
• Experience using a multiline telephone system.
• Ability to work effectively with individuals of varying personalities and skill levels.
• Dependable with excellent attendance and a positive, team-oriented attitude.

Preferred

• Experience in the forklift, material handling, heavy equipment, construction equipment, automotive, or industrial service industries.
• Experience using dispatch or field service management software.
• Working knowledge of forklift repair terminology and field service operations.
• Experience using QuickBooks.
