Role Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments for patients from diverse populations, utilizing both standardized evaluations and observational insights.
  • Create tailored treatment plans that focus on immediate objectives while supporting long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing requirements.
  • Deliver personalized one-on-one therapy sessions focusing on language, fluency, voice, and swallowing skills.
  • Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team, including physical and occupational therapists, nurses, and family members, to establish unified care strategies.
  • Provide educational resources to patients and their families, enhancing progress and understanding beyond the therapy sessions.
  • Participate in occasional inpatient therapy evaluations and interventions to ensure an uninterrupted caregiving continuum.
  • Maintain precise documentation in compliance with state, federal, and organization standards.
  • Stay informed about advancements in speech-language pathology through ongoing education and peer engagements.
Qualifications
  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
  • Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) is required if not yet ASHA-certified.
Certifications
  • A valid state license as a Speech Language Pathologist .
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA is preferred.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be obtained within the first 30 days of employment.
