Job Summary
Radiation Therapist in Oak Lawn, Illinois. This position involves providing treatment to oncology patients in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. The role requires support in radiation treatment procedures using true beam technology and working closely with physicians, nurses, and therapists to ensure quality patient care.

Job Details

• Schedule: Days shift, 8 hours per day, minimum of 40 hours per week, starting on 08/03/2026
• Required Qualifications: Radiation Therapist certification, ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists), BLS (Basic Life Support), Illinois Department of Nuclear Safety (IDNS) certification.
• Patient Types: Oncology patients, 95% outpatient with some inpatient and emergency appointments.
• Patient Ratios: RN: 1:1, Therapist: 1:1.
• Patient Volume: Approximately 55 outpatient treatments, 10 consults, and 15 follow-up appointments per week.
• Support Staff: 12 therapists, 4 registered nurses, 2-3 physicians.
• Charting System: EPIC.
• Rooming and Setting Patients: Support with treatment delivery and patient positioning in the treatment room.
• Orientation: One day of healthcare provider orientation and unit-specific training.
• Floating: Not required.
• Holiday Expectations: Facility closure on holidays.
• Time Off: Submit requests to the team lead for approval, especially for the week of Christmas.
• Scrub Color: Any color.
• Parking: Free parking available in designated areas.
