Infection Prevention Liaison (Rockville)

Responsibilities:

• Oversee infection surveillance and prevention activities.
• Provide consultation to hospital leadership.
• Participate in policy and regulatory discussions.
• Help maintain established Infection Prevention standards.
• The role is a highly visible position within a high-performing acute rehabilitaion service line and supported by a collaborative system-wide Infection Prevention team, with additional resources available during the transition.
• Occasional travel between facilities may be required for urgent needs, with mileage reimbursement for travel during the workday.

Qualifications:

• Active CIC certification required.
• Bachelor of Science degree in a related field required.
• Minimum 5 years of TRUE acute-care Infection Prevention/Infection Control experience required.
• Experience with infection surveillance, outbreak investigations, isolation precautions, and healthcare-associated infection prevention.
• Knowledge of OSHA, Joint Commission, CDC, CARF, and applicable infection prevention regulations.
• Ability to function autonomously and consult directly with clinical and executive leadership.
• Flexibility to work onsite across Rockville, MD and White Oak, MD locations a must.
