This position description is designed to outline primary duties and qualifications, but not limit one to specified duties, to ensure individual and group success.DescriptionJob Summary: Under the supervision of the Quality Supervisor, this position is responsible for implementing techniques, processes, and procedures at the plant level to ensure continuous production of products consistent with established standards. Responsible for adhering to Standard Operating Procedures and Good Manufacturing Practices, to ensure the production of safe quality products.Examples of Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Practice, teach and enforce the Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) established for QualityPractice and enforce all Safety policies and proceduresMonitor and verify accuracy of product, product packaging, product labeling and product identification/markingsSupport team member safety by promoting safe work practices, monitoring compliance with policies, and minimizing physical hazards to promote an overall safe work environmentAdhere to, teach, and monitor quality programsEnsure process controls are met, all documentation is accurate and bring about corrective action as neededAssist in external audits and documentationUsing quality SOP's inspect all raw materials for accuracy, including juice tanker inspections which require safely climbing a tanker ladderEnsure all paperwork is complete and accurateHelp resolve quality issues on the production floorComply with all company policies, practices, and proceduresParticipate in proactive team efforts to achieve departmental and company goalsProvide leadership to others through example and sharing of knowledge/skillLearn, practice, and adhere to all Safety policies & procedures, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) established for CPSLearn, practice, and adhere to all Quality policies and procedures including Safe Quality Food (SQF), Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP) and Hazard Analysis and Critical Quality Points (HACQP)Perform other duties as assignedQualificationsDesired Skills:Read, write, speak, and comprehend EnglishComprehend basic math: addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, weights and measures, and efficient use of a calculatorBasic computer and data entry skillsPossess mechanical aptitude with the ability to assemble, troubleshoot and perform minor repairs on manufacturing equipment.Ability to communicate both written and orally within the organizationAbility to give positive suggestions to improve operations in the work centerTeam Oriented - being helpful, respectful, approachable, building strong working relationships and a positive work environment, is responsible, honest, loyal, interacts with others tactfully, resolves conflicts appropriately, and adapts to changeAbility to manage time efficientlyAbility to work well under changing demandsFollow verbal and written instructionsMust have good work ethics, be highly motivated, and be a hands-on problem solverAbility to detect, recognize, and judge discrepanciesRequires accuracy, reliability, and attention to qualitySuccessfully completes and attains passing score of the Blender Lead TestHigh school diploma or GED, and 2 years work experience in a manufacturing environmentPhysical Demands:Vision, hearing, and speaking to meet performance standardsClimb ladder up to 10 feet off the ground using safety equipment providedAbility to stand and/or walk for long periods, reach, push, pull, lift, climb, bend, stoop, squat, and use manual dexterity to work with the following tools: blending machines, scales, pallet jacks, drum dollies, mops, brooms, portable stairs, hoses, forklifts etc.Ability to safely lift to 50 pounds on a frequent basis and move heavier weights using proper equipment and/or team lifting techniquesWork Environment:Requires ability to work in an environment that may contain fumes, dust, odors, moderate level noise, and temperature and ventilation variations while wearing any appropriate safety and/or protective clean room apparel required (e.g.: safety glasses, gloves, hair net, face mask or respirator, and uniforms)
