Our client is seeking a detail-oriented Accounting Clerk to support payroll and operational accounting functions in a contract-to-hire capacity. This position plays a key role in reviewing employee time records, reconciling payroll information, and verifying trip-related data. The ideal candidate is organized, comfortable working with mobile workforce applications, and proactive when following up to resolve missing or incomplete information.

This opportunity begins as a contract assignment and offers the potential for permanent employment based on performance and business needs. This role will sit onsite in Columbus, OH and work 11AM to 7PM.

Key Responsibilities

• Review and reconcile payroll-related information to ensure accuracy prior to processing
• Verify trip data and supporting documentation for completeness and compliance
• Monitor employee hours submitted through a mobile timekeeping application
• Contact employees and supervisors regarding missing punches, incomplete timesheets, or discrepancies
• Research, troubleshoot, and resolve payroll and timekeeping issues
• Maintain accurate records and supporting documentation

Qualifications

• Previous experience in accounting, payroll, bookkeeping, or administrative support
• Experience reviewing timesheets, payroll records, or employee hour reporting
• Familiarity with mobile workforce management or timekeeping systems preferred
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other standard business applications
• Excellent communication and follow-up skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment
• Must be able to work Monday through Friday 11AM to 7PM

Pay Details: $20.00 to $24.00 per hour
