Accounting AssistantOur client, located on the north side of Columbus, is seeking an Accounting Assistant to support a variety of accounting and administrative functions. This is a contract-to-hire opportunity offering long-term potential for the right candidate.This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working across multiple areas of accounting, has strong Excel skills, and is comfortable in a dynamic, team-oriented environment.Responsibilities:Compile and maintain weekly production reports for multiple divisionsPerform monthly bank reconciliationsPrepare and process weekly bank depositsAssist with annual budget preparation alongside the ControllerEnter and maintain payroll data in spreadsheets and within bookkeeping softwareSupport accounting operations using QuickBooksProvide administrative support, including answering phones, taking messages, and directing callsAssist with high call volume, particularly between 4:00 PM – 5:00 PMQualifications:At least 1 years of accounting experienceProficiency in Excel, including VLOOKUPs and Pivot TablesExperience with QuickBooks or similar accounting software preferredStrong attention to detail and organizational skillsAbility to multitask and support both accounting and administrative functionsProfessional communication skills and customer-focused mindsetSchedule:Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (onsite)This is a great opportunity to gain hands-on experience across multiple accounting functions while contributing to a collaborative and growing team.
