Security Systems Installer

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Responsible for the installation, set-up, and maintenance of security systems and related equipment including: Audio/Visual systems (TVs, speakers, control systems) Access control systems (card readers, keypads, mag locks, strikes) CCTV and surveillance systems Ability to follow blueprints of electrical system layouts Responds to a variety of customer service calls, scheduled maintenance calls, and after-hours calls to diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair a variety of system issues Handle necessary records for notification of emergency calls Assist or perform system programming, thorough test of the alarm system, and customer training in the use of all system functions Run all types of wire and cable through access holes, roof spaces, and cavity walls to reach fixture outlets and position and terminate cables, wires, and strapping Test and repair circuits and sensors Installation and configuration of hard wired and wireless networks and all associate components (Networking/IT) Ensure installations meet company standards, codes, and client expectations Coordinate with project managers, builders, and other trades on jobsites Preserve customer and client confidentiality REQUIREMENTS Minimum 2 year experiences in one or more of the following areas: Electronic Security, Alarm, Video and Access Control Demonstrate strong communication skills including verbal and written Knowledge in structured cabling and other advanced cabling technologies Interact with both internal and external customers in a professional, customer service-oriented manor Work under pressure and meet deadlines through strong time management skills Maintain a professional appearance Communicate intelligently with Project Managers and co-workers Process necessary paperwork and take notes as required in a detailed oriented manor Be committed to quality and exceeding customer expectations making security a top priority Ability to work both independently and in a team atmosphere Physically be able to meet requirements of the job which include carrying items of at least 50+ pounds unassisted, standing on feet for up to 8 hrs. a day, bending down frequently, comfortable working on ladders, lifts, and in construction environments Flexibility to work outside of regularly scheduled hours - on call rotation is required in this position.
