Aventura at Walton Hills is seeking an organized, dependable, and people-focused HR/Scheduler to join our team! This key role combines human resources, employee scheduling, recruitment, and staffing coordination to ensure our facility remains appropriately staffed while supporting our employees and delivering quality care to our residents. The ideal candidate is a strong communicator with previous healthcare HR and scheduling experience who thrives in a fast-paced environment and can balance employee needs with daily operational demands.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Scheduling & Staffing Create and maintain employee schedules to ensure appropriate staffing coverage. Coordinate coverage for open shifts, call-outs, and last-minute staffing needs. Communicate schedule changes with employees and department leadership. Track employee availability, PTO requests, attendance, and scheduling needs. Partner with nursing leadership to identify current and upcoming staffing requirements. Help reduce overtime and agency usage while maintaining appropriate staffing levels. Human Resources Assist with recruitment, interviewing, and onboarding new employees. Coordinate new-hire paperwork, background checks, physicals, and pre-employment requirements. Schedule and facilitate new-hire orientation. Maintain accurate and confidential employee records. Respond to employee questions regarding HR policies, benefits, and workplace concerns. Support employee engagement, recognition, and retention initiatives. Assist with attendance tracking and employee relations matters. Help ensure compliance with facility policies and applicable employment requirements.

QUALIFICATIONS

Previous experience in HR, scheduling, staffing, or administration required. Strong healthcare, skilled nursing, or long-term care experience required. Previous HR leadership experience in a healthcare or long-term care setting. Excellent organizational, communication, and time-management skills. Ability to multitask and adapt quickly to changing staffing needs. Comfortable working with employees, department managers, and facility leadership. Strong computer skills and ability to learn HR and scheduling systems. Professional, dependable, and committed to maintaining confidentiality.
