Materials Planner

Location: Sidney, NY (Onsite)

$24-$34 per hour

Our client, a well-established and growing manufacturer in the aerospace and advanced materials space, is seeking a Materials Planner to join their operations team. This is a key role responsible for ensuring efficient material flow, production scheduling, and on-time delivery in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Manage the full materials planning and control process across the business unit
• Review incoming orders and determine optimal scheduling to meet customer requirements
• Coordinate closely with planning, purchasing, and manufacturing teams to ensure efficient production flow
• Evaluate capacity requirements and communicate projected workload to leadership
• Prioritize and track production schedules to ensure deadlines are met
• Maintain accuracy of production documentation, including prints and engineering changes
• Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and workflow
• Perform administrative tracking of production contracts as needed

• High level of attention to detail and organizational skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office
• Experience with ERP systems (Data 3 experience is a plus)
• Ability to handle sensitive/confidential information appropriately

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, or related field

OR

• High school diploma with 4–6+ years of relevant materials/planning experience

Additional Details:

• This is a hands-on, highly visible role within the operation
• Requires regular movement throughout the facility
• Occasional travel (up to ~10%) may be required
