Commercial Services Journeyman Electrician - Arlington, VA

Role Overview Stones River Electric is seeking a Commercial Services Journeyman Electrician to support our growing national operations, offering competitive hourly rates based on experience. This role requires a skilled electrician who can troubleshoot, work independently, and handle service work across commercial environments including retail, office, and industrial facilities. The responsibilities include diagnosing electrical issues, performing repairs, and ensuring work is completed safely and efficiently. The ideal candidate is dependable, self-sufficient in the field, and able to take ownership of their work with minimal supervision. This position requires travel based on project needs, including out-of-town and overnight stays. Responsibilities Diagnose electrical issues in commercial environments. Perform repairs and ensure compliance with safety and efficiency standards. Work independently and manage field workload. Travel to projects statewide and overnight as required. Requirements 5+ years of commercial electrical experience. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently and manage workload in the field. Experience operating a service van or bucket truck. Willingness and ability to travel as needed, including overnight stays. Comfortable using basic technology such as iPad. Good communication skills. Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record. Must pass drug screen, background check, and MVR. Tools Required Basic hand tools including meter, pliers, wire strippers, and tape measure.
