Work Environment

The position is situated within a vibrant rehabilitation facility, where teamwork and accountability are paramount. The typical work schedule is from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday, providing a balanced work-life integration.

Key Responsibilities

• Adhere to state practice acts while providing therapeutic care and supervising physical therapy aides as applicable.

• Conduct thorough patient evaluations, developing individualized treatment plans based on comprehensive assessments of functional limitations and disabilities.

• Implement tailored treatment protocols, adjusting techniques based on patient evaluations, presentations, and progress metrics.

• Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient care, consulting with healthcare professionals as necessary, and modifying care plans when required.

• Manage discharge planning and follow-up care, ensuring patients have clear post-treatment instructions and necessary resources to continue recovery.

• Document all patient interactions and treatment procedures accurately and punctually, including initial evaluations, progress notes, and discharge summaries, in compliance with organizational and regulatory standards.

• Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities to remain current with clinical practices and regulatory requirements.

• Engage with facility meetings and initiatives aimed at improving patient access and care quality.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our clientele primarily consists of individuals with various orthopedic conditions requiring rehabilitation. You will treat patients recovering from surgeries, managing chronic pain, or seeking improvement in mobility and functionality after injuries. Your expertise will play a critical role in driving positive patient outcomes, enhancing their overall quality of life through customized rehabilitation plans.

Qualifications

• Doctorate of Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited physical therapy program.

• Current licensure as a Physical Therapist (PT) in the state of Florida.

• Minimum of 2 years of outpatient orthopedic experience, demonstrating mastery of therapeutic techniques and patient management.

• Current CPR certification to ensure patient safety in all aspects of care.

Preferred Experience
