Position Summary The Back‑End Department Head (BEDH) possesses expertise in operations, processes, and efficiency, instrumental in delivering a seamless experience for our customers by ensuring product availability, accurate pricing, and proper signage on the sales floor. Key Responsibilities Consistently implement the Logistics Game Plan and maintain a 95% e‑commerce fulfillment rate. Manage the RTV/Customer Warranty process, uphold receiving standards, and ensure accurate tagging integrity before product placement. Adhere to company merchandise standards when setting products and ensure accurate final price checks. Direct on‑floor work assignments and provide specific departmental training for all associates. Participate in weekly department walks with the OM to evaluate the state of the business and create worklists for self/department associates that align with their strengths; follow up on execution of all assigned tasks. Champion a culture where associates love to work and customers love to shop; recognize service behaviors and reward outstanding performance in partnership with the Store Leadership Team. Assist in keeping sales floor merchandise present at a premiere stock and visual level to drive sales and the customer experience. Coach and train associates to have an obsessed customer‑experience mindset when it comes to e‑commerce processed and presentation standards. Maintain clean, organized, and operational receiving areas, equipment, and supplies; consistently execute all receiving programs and procedures. Set all new floorplans/planograms in partnership with department associates, accurately receive all daily receipts, create tickets for purchase‑order issues, execute monthly markdowns, perform price changes, set merchandise standards, complete cycle counts, maintain top‑stock/back‑stock integrity, and provide override support to the front end. Daily safety walks to identify potential safety concerns in the assigned department. Serve as the expert of the assigned department, providing valuable input into operational and merchandising decisions with the OM to drive sales and elevate the customer experience. Ensure compliance with all loss‑prevention policies and procedures to maintain store inventory accuracy and a safe, secure workplace. Open and close the store at scheduled times, manage cash handling procedures, deposits, customer escalation, and provide task direction to all departments while maintaining brand/merchandising standards across the entire store. Qualifications and Skills Communication: Strong listening and interpersonal skills; can communicate expectations and standards to execute company programs cross‑functionally. Computer: Basic computer skills and working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook. Accountability: Ability to manage conflict, lead conflict resolution, and hold others accountable. Business Acumen: Ability to quickly learn business acumen with appropriate training. Organization: Ability to organize multiple priorities to ensure resources are properly allocated to meet objectives. Leadership: Ability to lead by example and enforce a high standard of customer service; servant‑leadership approach. Education / Experience: High school diploma or equivalent; retail experience preferred. Working Conditions and Physical Demands Must be able to stand for extended periods of time, climb up and down a ladder, move throughout the store, and lift a 30‑lb. box overhead. Schedule Must be able to work a flexible work week, including nights, weekends, and holidays depending on business needs.
