Tax Associate

Overview Husch Blackwell LLP is a national law firm with multiple locations across the United States, serving clients with domestic and international operations. We have an immediate opening for a Tax Associate with at least four years of experience preferred. We will consider candidates for any of our offices, including our virtual office, The Link; however, candidates in Austin, Kansas City, Milwaukee, St. Louis, or Washington, D.C. are strongly preferred. Candidates should have an active bar license in the state corresponding with the office to which they are applying or commit to obtaining one as soon as possible. Responsibilities The ideal candidate will have experience in a wide range of complex federal transactional tax matters with non-profit and for-profit clients, including business entity formations, mergers, acquisitions, and reorganizations. The role also involves advising clients on state and local tax matters, including income, franchise, sales, and use tax. Qualifications Strong preference for candidates with experience across the described tax areas and related advising. The candidate should possess an active bar license in the relevant jurisdiction or be in the process of obtaining one. Compensation and Location Pursuant to applicable state laws, the compensation range for this position in New York, Vermont, and Washington, D.C. is $235,000 - $318,000; in California, Colorado, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey, and Washington is $230,000 – $315,000; in Illinois is $215,000 - $315,000; and in Minnesota is $215,000 - $285,000, commensurate with qualifications and experience. Salaries in all other markets will vary depending on market data.
