Accounting Clerk

LHH Recruitment Solutions is partnering with our client in Downtown Cincinnati, Ohio to identify an Accounting Clerk for an immediate contract-to-hire opportunity. This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented professional with accounting, accounts payable, and administrative experience who is looking to join a growing organization with long-term career potential.

Pay: $20.00 to $22.00 per hour

Schedule: First Shift, Monday through Friday

Location: Northern Kentucky

Position Type: Contract-to-Hire

The Accounting Clerk will support daily accounting and administrative operations, with a strong focus on accounts payable, data entry, recordkeeping, and office support. The ideal candidate will be organized, dependable, and capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Process accounts payable invoices and ensure timely and accurate payment processing

• Match invoices, purchase orders, and receiving documents

• Assist with account reconciliations and maintain accurate financial records

• Enter accounting data into company systems with a high level of accuracy

• Research and resolve invoice discrepancies and vendor inquiries

• Maintain employee and vendor files and documentation

• Assist with preparing reports, spreadsheets, and other accounting documents

• Answer phones, greet visitors, and provide general administrative support as needed

• Manage incoming and outgoing mail and office correspondence

• Support accounting and administrative projects as assigned

Qualifications

• Previous accounting, accounts payable, bookkeeping, or accounting clerk experience required

• Strong administrative and office support experience preferred

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel and Outlook

• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills

• Strong written and verbal communication abilities

• Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment

• Experience working with accounting software or ERP systems preferred

• Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field is a plus
