ICU Nurse - Float Pool

Shift: Nights 19:00–07:30 Weekend requirement: Yes — at least 6 weekend shifts every 6-week period

Contract Length: Not specified Guaranteed Hours: 36 or 48 hours available

Requirements:

Active California RN license required at time of submission
Minimum 2 years ICU experience
Pulmonary artery (Swan-Ganz) line experience required
Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
EMR: Epic experience required
References: 2 supervisor references from past 12 months required at time of submittal

Roles & Responsibilities:

Provide compassionate and high-quality nursing care to patients in critical condition across various units.
Monitor and assess patient conditions, including interpreting EKGs and ABGs.
Administer medications and manage intravenous (IV) therapy including vasoactive drips.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
Respond promptly to changes in patient status and initiate appropriate interventions.
Monitor equipment such as ventilators and continuously assess vital signs.

Compliance / Notes:

Flu vaccine required — no exemptions
Orientation includes onsite testing and EKG exam that must be passed to continue in assignment
