Senior Accountant

OverviewPosition SummaryWe are seeking a highly motivated Senior Accountant to support our financial reporting and accounting operations. This role will be instrumental in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial statements, leading key aspects of the close process, and addressing complex accounting matters in accordance with U.S. GAAP. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, analytical, and comfortable taking ownership of critical accounting areas in a fast-paced, private company environment. This is a hybrid role with 3-4 days a week in the Dallas office. ResponsibilitiesKeyResponsibilitiesLead key components of the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processPrepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedulesSupport the timely and accurate preparation of financial statementsPerform detailed variance and flux analysis, providing clear insights into business performanceSupport the annual financial audit process and prepare related documentationEnsure accuracy and consistency of financial data across reporting systemsSupport research and documentation of accounting issues in accordance with U.S. GAAPAssist in drafting accounting memos for complex or non-routine transactionsCollaborate with cross-functional teams to implement process improvements and strengthen internal controlsAssist with a variety of ad hoc projects related to financial reportingQualificationsQualificationsBachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field3-6+ years of accounting experience Public accounting experience strongly preferredStrong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and financial reportingProficiency in Excel (pivot tables, lookups, etc.)Experience with Sage Intacct or similar ERP systems is a plusCPA or CPA-eligible preferredKey Skills & CompetenciesStrong attention to detail and accuracyExcellent analytical and problem-solving skillsStrong sense of ownership and accountabilityAbility to work independently and manage multiple prioritiesStrong communication skills, including ability to explain technical concepts clearlyContinuous improvement mindset and attention to detailWhy This Role?This role is designed for accountants looking to deepen their technical and analytical skillset.
