A dynamic Houston company located in Central Houston is seeking an experienced HR Manager with some payroll experience to join its team. This is an excellent opportunity for an HR professional who enjoys managing a broad range of human resources responsibilities while also managing payroll team

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day HR functions, including employee relations, benefits administration, recruitment, compliance, and HR policies and procedures.
• Manage and process payroll accurately and efficiently, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local requirements.
• Support and improve HR and payroll systems, processes, and procedures to increase efficiency and accuracy.
• Manage employee onboarding and offboarding.
• Provide guidance and support to management and employees regarding HR policies, procedures, and employee-related matters.
• Maintain compliance with applicable employment laws and regulations.
• Support employee engagement and help foster a positive, professional work environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of combined HR and payroll experience required.
• Strong hands-on payroll processing experience required.
• Experience with multi-state payroll strongly preferred
• Experience implementing or transitioning HR and/or payroll systems is a strong plus.
• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred; relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
• SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR certification preferred.
• Bilingual English/Spanish is a strong plus.
• Strong knowledge of HR best practices and employment regulations. xhyhwjd
