Description

• Assess patients across pediatric, adult, and geriatric demographics using established protocols and observational strategies.
• Create tailored treatment plans that address immediate goals and long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing needs.
• Conduct individualized speech therapy sessions focused on communication, fluency, voice, and swallowing interventions.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including physical and occupational therapists, physicians, caregivers, and family members, to forge unified care strategies.
• Guide patients and families in understanding how they can support ongoing progress outside of clinical visits.
• Participate in occasional inpatient speech therapy evaluations and interventions to ensure seamless care throughout the recovery journey.
• Keep precise and timely documentation that complies with state, federal, and organizational standards.
• Engage in professional development through continuous education and collaboration with peers.

Education

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not ASHA-certified.

Certifications

• State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
• Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA is preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be obtained within 30 days of employment.
