Litigation Secretary – Commercial Litigation

Location: San Francisco, CA (Hybrid Schedule)

Compensation: Up to $125,000 DOE + Full Benefits

A leading law firm in San Francisco is seeking an experienced Litigation Secretary to support a dynamic Commercial Litigation practice. This hybrid position offers the opportunity to work with a collaborative team handling sophisticated business disputes while maintaining work-life balance through a flexible hybrid schedule.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-level administrative and litigation support to attorneys in a busy commercial litigation practice.
• Prepare, edit, proofread, and finalize pleadings, motions, discovery, correspondence, and other legal documents.
• File documents electronically in California state and federal courts.
• Maintain litigation calendars and monitor critical deadlines, hearings, depositions, and court appearances.
• Coordinate attorney schedules, meetings, travel arrangements, and client communications.
• Assist with trial preparation, including organizing exhibits, witness files, and trial binders.
• Manage case files and document management systems with accuracy and attention to detail.
• Enter attorney time, process expenses, and support billing activities as needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of litigation secretarial experience, preferably within commercial or complex business litigation.
• Strong knowledge of California state and federal court rules, procedures, and e-filing platforms.
• Exceptional calendaring and docketing experience.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and legal software applications.
• Excellent organizational, communication, and multitasking skills.
• Ability to prioritize competing deadlines and work effectively in a fast-paced legal environment.
• Professional demeanor and commitment to delivering high-quality work product.
