Job Summary: Medical Surgical With Telemetry (MS Tele) Registered Nurse (RN) Marshfield, Wisconsin. In an acute care Med Tele unit, the Registered Nurse provides direct patient care for a variety of complex medical conditions, including oncology/hematology, general medical cases, GI bleed, PE/DVT, sepsis, CHF/COPD, pneumonia, FTT, and weakness. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Nights (7:00 PM7:30 AM), 12 hours; minimum 48 hours per week; every other weekend and holiday requirements apply as scheduled.
• Required Qualifications: RN licensure (license required to submit); Basic Life Support (BLS) (AHA) certification; acute care experience with comfort caring for complex patients; experience with titratable drips; must be able to manage and titrate common drips and infusions including insulin, heparin, cardizem, nitro, amiodarone, and octreotide; comfortable with blood transfusions and managing drips as needed.
• Preferred Qualifications: Prior travel experience.
• Responsibilities/Position Details: Provides nursing care for Med Tele patients and maintains Tele/monitor awareness as required by unit workflow. Charting is performed using Cerner. Charge Nurse and House Supervisor support is provided on all shifts, with Charge taking a modified assignment (Days 1:23; Nights 1:4); travelers may be asked to step into Charge if comfortable, especially on night shift. Orientation includes 1 day of computer training (CBT/regulatory) and one 12-hour shift on the floor. First to float within Med Tele/Med Surg units is required, with floating occurring in 4-hour increments.
• Additional Information: Orientation is 1 day with computer training/cbt/regulatory and one 12-hour shift on the floor. Submission must note whether the clinician has ever worked for Marshfield; if previously employed there, the required end date is at least 6 months prior to the submission date. All clinicians must clock in and out at the facility.
