Commercial Construction Estimator


A well-established commercial construction company is seeking an experienced Estimator to prepare accurate and competitive estimates for commercial construction projects. The Estimator will work closely with subcontractors, vendors, Project Managers, and company leadership throughout the bidding and preconstruction process.


Responsibilities:

• Review construction plans, specifications, scopes, and bid documents.
  
  
• Perform detailed quantity takeoffs and develop project estimates.
  
  
• Solicit, evaluate, and level subcontractor and vendor proposals.
  
  
• Prepare competitive bids and proposals.
  
  
• Analyze labor, material, equipment, and subcontractor costs.
  
  
• Identify scope gaps, exclusions, and potential project risks.
  
  
• Assist with value engineering and cost-saving opportunities.
  
  
• Maintain accurate estimating documentation and project budgets.
  
  
• Coordinate with Project Management and Operations teams during project turnover.
  
  
• Meet bid deadlines while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
  
  

Qualifications:

• 3+ years of commercial construction estimating experience preferred.
  
  
• Strong understanding of commercial construction means, methods, and materials.
  
  
• Ability to interpret drawings, specifications, and scopes of work.
  
  
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  
  
• Experience with estimating software preferred.
