PSA Penn Terminals is one of the best equipped, privately owned multipurpose Marine Terminals on the US East Coast. We are known industry wide for our reliability and efficiency in handling container, perishable, project, super sack, steel, pipes, forest products and other break-bulk cargoes. The primary role of the individual is to provide service to our STS and RTG cranes. Our goal is to find an individual to reinforce the shop when it comes to keeping all equipment in service. This is done by performing periodical maintenance at scheduled intervals, observing and reporting issues, and minimizing downtime during any breakdowns.

· Inspect tools and equipment to diagnose malfunction or to determine functional condition.

· Work in a safe manor to minimize hazards to yourself or others.

· Be able to work from heights.

· Maintain equipment in accordance with maintenance schedules in attempt to minimize downtime while assisting in potential diagnosis due to prior component observation.

· Repair electrical and simple electronic malfunctions as well as any larger task involving entire shop or subcontractors.

· Perform emergency repairs to return the equipment to operation.

· Operate tools and equipment to diagnose malfunctions and verify proper operation.

· Clean and maintain tools, equipment, and work areas.

· Understand crane functions and ability to communicate with team and operators.

· 3-5 years electrical and mechanical experience.

· Ability to follow all applicable safety standards, rules, laws, and procedures.

· Ability to acquire increasingly complex mechanical/computer skills for troubleshooting. 

· Ability to record information in the proper manner.

· Ability to establish and maintain good working relations with coworkers and customers.

· Ability to acquire a TWIC card.

· Ability to lift and carry 50+lbs when lift assistance is unavailable (i.e. forklifts and overhead lifts).
