LDRP Nurse

This role is for a Labor, Delivery, Recovery, and Postpartum (LDRP) nurse, requiring experience in both Labor & Delivery and mother-baby care. The selected candidate will work across L&D and Mother Baby units, and must be adaptable to float between these areas. A comfort level with the prison population is essential for this position.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive care to patients in Labor and Delivery, as well as postpartum care.
• Administer medications, monitor vital signs, and maintain patient records.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to optimize patient outcomes.
• Ensure adherence to safety and quality standards while caring for a diverse patient population.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in Labor & Delivery and mother-baby care.
• Required certifications include:
  • BLS
  • ACLS
  • CPI (Crisis Prevention Intervention) - MAB accepted in lieu of CPI
  • NIH Stroke Scale
  • AWHONN - Advanced Fetal Monitoring
  • NRP - Neonatal Resuscitation Program
  • STABLE - Sugar, Temperature, Airway, Blood Pressure, Lab Work, Emotional Support

Scheduling and Orientation

Shifts are scheduled for night shifts, consisting of three 12-hour shifts from 19:00 to 07:00. Orientation includes two 8-hour shifts, followed by departmental orientation with two additional 12-hour shifts.
