Cardiology Inpatient and Outpatient Role

This role will assist with monitor reporting and Coumadin management. Locations of coverage will be at both 2020 Town Center Blvd. Suite C., Brandon, FL and Sun City Center Blvd., Sun City Center Florida Medical Clinic.

Responsibilities include assessing the physical and psychosocial status of patients, recognizing deviations from normal in the physical assessment, formulating treatment plans, implementing management based on laboratory results, physical assessment, routine diagnostic and follow-up studies, therapeutic measures, admission and discharge care in accordance with written practice protocols, initiating appropriate actions to facilitate the implementation of therapeutic plans, demonstrating the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served, demonstrating caring practices by providing a compassionate and therapeutic environment for patients and their families, demonstrating awareness of legal issues and patients' rights, identifying, analyzing, and resolving patient care issues to foster significant improvement in patient care, dictating and documenting an accurate and timely manner, maintaining provision of preventive health services, conducting or participating in daily multidisciplinary rounds, performing detailed history and physical examinations and documenting inpatient H & P and discharge summaries, writing or dictating reports and progress notes appropriately in the medical record, and triaging patients.

Qualifications include an MN or MSN or DNP or PhD or DNS degree in nursing required or graduate of an accredited physician assistant program, maintaining current physician assistant licensure or Florida ARNP License in State of Florida, maintaining NCCPA (National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants) or national advanced certification from an approved nursing specialty board, maintaining BLS certification, and maintaining ACLS, NRP, PALS certification as required by department. One year experience in the Cardiology Specialty is required.
