CBIZ is seeking a hands-on Controller to lead all accounting and financial operations for a growing, fast-paced service-based company located in Brooklyn. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys balancing strategic financial oversight with day-to-day execution in a high-volume environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee general ledger, month-end/year-end close, and financial reporting
• Prepare financial statements, budgets, forecasts, and variance analysis
• Manage full-cycle A/P and A/R , including invoicing and collections
• Monitor cash flow, banking activity, and perform account reconciliations
• Partner with leadership on financial planning and business decisions
• Ensure audit-ready records and coordinate with external CPA
• Implement process improvements, internal controls, and system enhancements
• Support operations with billing, contract compliance, and client financial matters
• Oversee vendor management, insurance documentation, and compliance

Qualifications:

• Strong accounting and financial management experience in a high-volume environment
• Experience managing multiple entities and improving processes
• Hands-on approach with ability to roll up sleeves and execute
• Proficiency in QuickBooks, Excel , and accounting systems
• Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills

What We're Looking For: A detail-oriented, proactive leader who can operate independently, drive efficiency, and support a growing organization across both finance and operations.

Compensation: 125-150K, base.
