Fueled by Passion, Purpose and Technology.At Slide, you will not only be part of a successful team, but you will also be a part of our Slide Vibe/award winning culture where collaboration and innovation are expected, recognized and awarded!As Director of Financial Accounting, you’ll lead core accounting operations, ensure accurate financial reporting, and shape the processes and teams that drive financial excellence across the organization.What You’ll DoLead the monthly, quarterly, and annual close process, ensuring accurate and timely financial reportingOversee insurance accounting, including reserves, reinsurance, and catastrophe-related activityMaintain strong internal controls and SOX compliance; support internal and external auditsProvide technical accounting guidance and establish policies aligned with GAAP and regulatory standardsPartner cross-functionally to align accounting with business operations and strategic initiativesDrive process improvements, system enhancements, and team development within the accounting functionProvide leadership and oversight of the financial accounting function, ensuring accounting operations support accurate and reliable financial reporting.Establish clear accounting standards, expectations, and governance across operational accounting activities performed by accounting management and staff. What You BringBachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA strongly preferred8–10+ years of progressive accounting experience, including financial reporting or technical accounting5+ years of experience in P&C insurance or a regulated financial services environment5+ years of leadership experience with a track record of developing high-performing teamsStrong knowledge of GAAP, insurance accounting, and internal control frameworks (SOX)Proven ability to assess complex transactions and provide sound accounting judgmentStrong analytical, communication, and cross-functional partnership skillsWhat Slide Offers To YouThe Slide Vibe - An opportunity to be a part of a fun and innovation-driven culture fueled by Passion, Purpose and Technology!
