Foundedin1969,WestLosAngelesCollegehasservedthecommunitiesofCulverCityandWest Los Angeles for more than five decades, growing into a vibrant institution that provides both transfer and career-focused education. Over the years, WLAC has expanded its academic scope to include 18 vocational programs, 25 transfer pathways, and, beginning in 2016, the college received authorization to offer baccalaureate degrees. The College provides associate degrees, certificates,transferprograms,andisoneofonly15Californiacommunitycollegesauthorized to offer baccalaureate degrees—currently in Dental Hygiene and Avionics.
TheCollegehasalsodevelopedastrongreputationforinnovationandcommunitypartnership, awardingmorethan600degreesandcertificatesannuallyacross39fields.Itsevolutionreflects WLAC’s longstanding commitment to expanding access, responding to workforce needs, and advancing upward mobility for the region’s diverse student population.

ThePresidentofWestLosAngelesCollegeservesastheChiefExecutiveOfficer,reportingtothe Chancellor and participating as a member of the Chancellor’s Cabinet. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Master’sdegreeoradvanceddegreefromanaccredited institution.
- DemonstratedsensitivitytothediversityoftheWLACstudent,faculty,andstaff population.
DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS
- Earneddoctoratefromanaccredited institution.
- Fiveyearsormoreofprogressivelyresponsibleadministrativeexperience,preferably within postsecondary institutions.
- Demonstratedsuccesswithequity-centeredleadership,enrollmentmanagement,and community partnerships.
- Experiencewithparticipatorygovernanceandcollectivebargaining environments.
SALARYAND BENEFITS
Salaryiscompetitiveandcommensuratewithexperience.Thecurrentsalary range is $269,127.84 - $333,402.24 annually. In addition, there is a $522.15 monthly differential for a doctoral degree.

EVALUATION PROCEDURES:
A District Search and Interview Committee will review the applications and select candidates for interview, and, after interviewing the invited candidates, will typically recommend to the Chancellor at least three unranked candidates as finalists. The Chancellor’sOfficewillconductbackgroundandreferencechecksandinterviewsand will forward the recommended candidate(s) to the Board of Trustees, if any, of the candidate(s)bestsuitedfortheposition.TheBoardofTrusteesmayconductfurther background checks or interviews, as appropriate.
GENERAL REQUIREMENT:
Health:Afterselectionandpriortoemployment,amedicalcertificateindicatingfitnessto engage in administrative work is required for new employees, at the applicant’s expense.
