Maintenance Technician - FULL TIME

Maintenance Technician Pay: $21-$23/hr + Bonus and Commission We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Maintenance Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for the repair, maintenance, and overall upkeep of multiple residential properties within your assigned city. Perform routine and emergency maintenance, repairs, and inspections in occupied and vacant units, common areas, and building systems. Complete work orders accurately and in a timely manner, documenting work performed and materials used. Diagnose and repair issues involving basic plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, and general building maintenance. Assist with unit turns, including cleaning, repairs, and preparation for new residents. Collaborate with fellow Maintenance Technicians to share workload, provide support, and ensure timely completion of tasks. Report directly to the Maintenance Supervisor, keeping them informed on work order status, recurring issues, and any safety or property concerns. Coordinate closely with Community Managers to prioritize work orders and understand the urgency and impact of each request. Maintain professional communication with community managers, assistant managers, leasing staff, and maintenance team members to support efficient operations and unit turnover. Follow all safety procedures and company policies, including proper use of tools, equipment, and personal protective equipment. Proven experience as a Maintenance Technician or in a similar maintenance role. Working knowledge of residential maintenance, including basic plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and carpentry repairs. Effective communication skills with colleagues, supervisors, and residents. Physical ability to perform manual tasks, including lifting, bending, climbing, and working in a variety of indoor and outdoor conditions. Reliable transportation to travel between properties as needed. 3+ years of experience in property management or multifamily housing. 3+ years of experience in maintenance or a related trade. 3 years of apartment maintenance experience (strongly preferred).
