Safety Manager

We are seeking a hands-on Safety Manager to oversee the complete safety program for a heavy industrial manufacturing facility. This is an onsite, individual-contributor position reporting directly to the General Manager. The successful candidate will spend significant time on the production floor and personally manage training, compliance, investigations, documentation, and safety improvements. Key Responsibilities: Develop, deliver, and document employee health and safety training Maintain compliance with OSHA and other applicable regulations Conduct regular facility inspections and address unsafe conditions Monitor PPE, machine guarding, lockout/tagout, and other production-floor requirements Investigate accidents and near misses and drive corrective actions Create and maintain JHAs for production positions Manage workers’ compensation and return-to-work activities Maintain hazardous-material inventories and related documentation Prepare notifications and responses associated with regulatory inspections Maintain environmental and water permits Coordinate with external consultants on environmental studies and reporting Maintain accurate training and compliance records Qualifications : 3+ years of safety experience, preferably in manufacturing or another heavy industrial environment Strong knowledge of OSHA general-industry regulations Experience developing and delivering safety training Demonstrated experience with incident investigations and corrective actions Familiarity with JHAs, hazardous-material compliance, and regulatory inspections Environmental compliance or permitting experience is strongly preferred Ability to work independently and manage the complete safety function without direct reports Comfortable working regularly on the production floor in a hot, noisy, heavy-industrial environment Strong communication, organization, and documentation skills #J-18808-Ljbffr Sigil Partners
