Electrical Project Manager - Data Center Construction

Job InformationWe are working confidentially with a General Contractor delivering a major data center project in the Mobile, Alabama area and are looking to appoint an experienced Electrical Project Manager to join the project team. This is a full-time, site-based position. Recent data center construction experience is essential.The RoleThe Electrical Project Manager will take ownership of the electrical scope across the project, working closely with Superintendents, electrical subcontractors, engineers and project leadership to ensure delivery is safe, coordinated and on schedule. Responsibilities will include:Managing electrical construction packages from preconstruction through commissioning and closeoutOverseeing medium-voltage and low-voltage electrical systemsManaging electrical subcontractors and trade partnersReviewing drawings, specifications, RFIs and submittalsManaging change orders, procurement and project documentationCoordinating electrical works with mechanical, structural, controls and commissioning teamsTracking schedules, budgets and package-level progressIdentifying sequencing, constructability and coordination issuesSupporting procurement and long-lead equipment planningManaging installation of switchgear, transformers, generators, UPS systems and electrical distribution equipmentCoordinating energization, startup, testing and commissioning activitiesEnsuring work meets quality, safety and project requirementsSupporting punch list, closeout and final turnover documentationWorking closely with Project Executives, Superintendents, engineers and subcontractorsWhat We're Looking ForRecent data center or mission critical construction experience is essential. Strong General Contractor or Construction Manager background. Experience managing electrical packages on large-scale ground-up projects. Strong knowledge of medium-voltage and low-voltage electrical systems. Experience with switchgear, transformers, generators, UPS systems and power distribution. Experience managing subcontractors, RFIs, submittals and change orders. Strong understanding of construction sequencing and MEP coordination. Experience with budgets, schedules, procurement and project controls. Experience supporting energization, commissioning and turnover. Strong communication and stakeholder management skills. Ability to work full-time on site in the Mobile, Alabama area.
