Specialty Representative, Gastroenterology - Wilmington, NC

AbbVie seeks a field-based specialty representative for gastroenterology to drive sales performance across North Carolina and South Carolina territories. The role involves executing brand strategy, managing customer relationships, and achieving financial and clinical objectives while maintaining compliance with healthcare industry regulations.

Responsibilities

• Execute brand strategy and sales tactics to meet financial targets and key performance indicators
• Develop call plans with SMART objectives and conduct post-call evaluations to improve performance
• Build and maintain trusted customer relationships addressing healthcare provider needs and challenges
• Gather and share market intelligence regarding competitors, disease states, and territorial dynamics with internal teams
• Identify and develop disease state experts and speaker advocates to maximize brand performance

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in health, sciences, pharmacy, or business; or five years industry experience with three in pharmaceutical/healthcare
• Proven sales success with strong presentation and objection-handling skills
• Leadership experience with demonstrated responsibility growth at district or regional levels
• Healthcare industry representative credentialing eligibility and ability to pass background checks and drug screening
• Valid driver's license and ability to meet safe driving requirements
• In-depth scientific, therapeutic, and competitive product knowledge
• Preferred: Prior pharmaceutical sales experience in physician or account-based selling
