This position is responsible for improving welding manufacturing efficiency, cost, product quality, and worker safety by analyzing current methods, developing new methods, new technologies, and cost reduction activities involved with Lean principles and activities.ResponsibilitiesDrive process related improvements to support key plant metrics related to safety, quality, & efficiency using lean manufacturing toolsDevelops performance indicators to measure plant and equipment capacity output and identify equipment and process flow bottlenecks (manual & robotic welding)Provide technical support to install new systems and capital equipment on time, within cost constraints and the production forecast.Resolves technical problems and recommends production improvementStrong knowledge of welded part dimensioning, GD&T, & corresponding tooling featuresWork with operators, vendors and tool designers to develop tooling designs and actual tools within provided quality and cost constraints.Other related duties as assignedQualificationsMinimum QualificationsBachelor's degree in an engineering fieldOr direct manufacturing experience and proficiency in the duties outlined abovePreferred QualificationsExperience in metal welding processes (MIG)Strong technical skills and proficiency, including Microsoft Office ProductsGood leadership skillsAbility to work and make decisions independentlyOrganized and detail orientedAble to be flexible and adaptable to changing needs and prioritiesExperience with robotic weld programming (Fanuc, Motoman)CWI CertificationCompany BenefitsCNH Industrial offers a wide variety of benefits that not only encourages wellness and preventive care, but we also provide the right tools and programs to help you achieve it.
