Our client is seeking an Investment Banking Associate to join its Chicago-based M&A team. The group advises publicly traded, large-cap companies on complex, high-profile strategic transactions, providing exposure to sophisticated deal situations and senior client interaction.

The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical capabilities with advanced financial modeling and valuation experience. This role is best suited for someone who thrives in intellectually demanding environments, can navigate highly sensitive transactions, and enjoys solving complex financial and strategic problems. The position is less process-driven than traditional investment banking roles and requires sound judgment, critical thinking, and the ability to operate effectively in nuanced deal situations.

Key Qualifications:

• 3+ years of investment banking experience OR 1 year post MBA

• Advanced financial modeling and valuation skills

• Large-cap M&A transaction experience

• Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities

• Ability to work on complex, high-stakes engagements with discretion and attention to detail
