Stockroom ClerkThe Stockroom Clerk receives, stores, issues, and delivers materials and equipment in a warehouse, stockroom, or storage area, and keeps inventory records of incoming/outgoing shipments.Essential Job FunctionsFollows transportation schedules for shipment of stock, and completes necessary shipping documentsChecks records of stock received and shipped, and completes invoices indicating item costChecks estimates of stock need to maintain adequate inventory levelsChecks goods received against purchase invoicesKeeps shelves and goods clean and sees that stock is in its proper place and neatly arranged; notifies superiors when stock becomes lowReplenishes the stock on the shelves from a general storeroom as neededReceives, stores, and issues materials and equipment in a warehouse, stockroom or storage areaPerform other related duties, tasks and or projects, as assignedKnowledge OfStockroom methods and proceduresInventory records maintenanceComputer inventory and control methodsSkilled InKeeping accurate records of goods received and shippedEstablishing and maintaining harmonious working relationships with other employeesSegregating and storing goodsMaking rapid and accurate computationsVisually inspecting materials to ensure items meet quality specificationsAbility ToFollow instructions received verbally and in writingFill requisitions and deliver supplies on time, every time.Prepare bills of lading showing proper shipping instructions, stock received reports and other reports of work completedRoutinely lift loads of 25-55 lbs. from floor level to above waistsTake physical inventories and keeps perpetual inventory records of the quantities of stock on-handWrap and pack goods for shipment to ensure customer receives undamaged product
