After setting up a clinic's in-house pharmacy, we design and implement clinical pharmacy programs and deploy technology products that leverage the pharmacy to expand patient reach, improve clinical outcomes, and increase the financial impact of their 340B program.Alchemy is backed by Andreesen Horowitz, Magic Johnson Enterprises, Sandberg Bernthal Venture Partners, and others.Job OverviewAs a pharmacy technician for one of the covered entities we serve, you will be a key member on the Alchemy pharmacy team, while engaging with patients and clinicians at the site in Phoenix.We are looking for a strong candidate to serve as a pharmacy technician at this newly opening pharmacy. This role will include carrying out the day-to-day operations of the pharmacy, including filling prescriptions, coordinating prescription delivery, and resolving insurance claim rejections. The ideal candidate will also process prior authorizations, pursue patient assistance programs, and foundational assistance programs to assure all patients receive affordable care. The ideal candidate will also develop trusting relationships with patients and adapt to the patient's unique needs in order to remove barriers to care.Key ResponsibilitiesEntering new prescription orders and refill requests for patientsFilling and labeling medicationsFacilitating delivery of medications to patients as neededProcessing insurance claims and resolving insurance claim rejectionsReceiving and processing prior authorization requests as needed for patientsOrdering inventory from drug wholesalersMaintaining pharmacy records as required by the board of pharmacy and other regulatory bodiesBuilding strong working relationships with the community, stakeholders, and clinic partners to meet all required needs of the clinic as well as the communityDemonstrating cultural competence and compassion in communication with diverse populations, including minorities, people who speak languages other than English, homeless, indigent, and gay/lesbian/bisexual/transgender individualsFollowing-up with patients via phone calls or text messages to facilitate prescription filling and adherenceCommunicating in a manner that protects patient privacyAdvocating for patients and providing patient-centric pharmacy servicesQualificationsActive Pharmacy Technician or Pharmacy Technician-in-Training license from the Arizona State Board of Pharmacy1 year of experience working within a retail or clinic settingPrior experience working in a 340B pharmacyPrevious experience working with BestRx dispensing system is a plusSalary and BenefitsWe offer a very competitive base salary for this role which is determined by a number of factors including relevant experience and job-related skills.
