Position Summary Aside from its 300 days of annual sunshine, breathtaking scenery, and remaining a mainstay for some of the country’s best brews, Denver has consistently ranked in the ‘Top 10 pet‑loving cities’ and ‘Top 5 dog‑friendly cities’ year after year. We have a proud presence in this mile‑high city, having been in operation since 1930. Its first 42 years in operation were primarily to produce livestock feed until the plant transitioned into a pet food‑only manufacturer in 1972. Since then, the location became the first‑ever pet food factory to utilize solar energy. To date, we’re proud to sustainably produce 260,134 tons annually of Dog Chow®, Cat Chow®, Kit n Kaboodle®, Alpo®, Beneful®, Nestlé Purina ONE Beyond®, Nestlé Purina ONE®, and Pro Plan®. We’re a “safety first” culture passionate about a zero defect and zero waste attitude. Responsibilities Operate forklift in a productive manner, demonstrating initiative while maintaining adequate levels of productivity, utilization, and efficiency. Load and unload accurate quantities of damage free product in a safe manner and distribute the weight of the product accurately. Use accurate paperwork and the radiofrequency (RF) equipment to complete tasks. Must ensure product being loaded has cleared all quality checks and is not on hold before shipping. Unload product as directed while visually inspecting for damaged and defective materials. Move finished product released from the packing room to a designated bin within the warehouse in a timely and efficient manner. Have proficient knowledge of all finished product and RF systems to facilitate an accurate rotation of stock using the FIFO (First In First Out) method. Perform daily maintenance check of forklift operation and turn in a written report to shift supervisor every day. Report all needed repairs. Build case pick pallets/load of mixed product as needed. Qualifications High School Diploma or GED 1+ years of sit down or stand up forklift operations experience with a high volume distribution center, warehouse, manufacturing, or military environment. Other Requirements RF Scan Gun and Slip‑Sheet experience preferred. The schedule for this position requires the ability to work 2nd or 3rd shift. Compensation & Benefits The approximate hourly pay for this position is $29.53. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to background, knowledge, skills, and abilities as well as geographic location of the position.
