Job Description An innovative, rapidly expanding mid-size medical device company specializing in advanced orthopedic solutions, particularly for upper extremity joints such as the wrist, elbow, and shoulder, is seeking a strategic and high-energy Senior Product Manager / Director to lead their Shoulder Arthroplasty portfolio for its South Florida location. Dedicated to improving surgical outcomes and restoring patient mobility, the company develops anatomically driven, surgeon-inspired implant systems. With a strong commitment to clinical excellence and biomechanical precision, it designs and manufactures state-of-the-art implants that support complex reconstruction procedures, with a focus on restoring natural skeletal motion. In this role, you will be the "CEO of your product line," overseeing the lifecycle of our shoulder arthroplasty systems, trauma fixation, and sports medicine solutions. You will bridge the gap between clinical innovation and commercial execution, ensuring that their technologies reach surgeons and patients globally. The Director/Sr. Product Manager will focus on Shoulder Arthroplasty, both on upstream and downstream marketing activities. He/She will play a key role in executing post-launch marketing activities. He/She will report to the VP of Marketing and work closely with cross-functional teams. He/She will assist in the development of sales tools, educational content, and market analysis to drive growth and awareness of their Shoulder Arthroplasty portfolio. Knowledge & Skills Key Duties, Activities and Responsibilities: Portfolio Strategy: Define and execute the multi-year roadmap for the Shoulder Arthroplasty segment. Ensure all materials adhere to regulatory, legal, and brand guidelines. Product Launch Excellence: Lead the end-to-end commercialization of new implants, instruments, and digital surgery tools. Manage digital content, campaigns, and internal communications. Clinical Collaboration: Partner with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) and surgeon designers to identify unmet needs and validate new product concepts. Plan and execute surgeon training programs, labs, and educational events. Market Intelligence: Monitor the larger competitors and niche innovators to ensure their portfolio remains competitive in pricing, features, and clinical outcomes. Collaborate with Sales and Product Management to gather field feedback and enhance messaging. Conduct competitive analysis and track market trends in upper extremity trauma. Sales Enablement: Develop high-impact training programs and marketing collateral for our national sales teams. Direct and support the creation of marketing materials such as brochures, surgical technique guides, videos, and sales presentations. Cross-Functional Leadership: Work closely with R&D to prioritize engineering with Regulatory Affairs to navigate FDA 510(k) submissions. Work Experience, Skills and Education Required: Experience: 7+ years in medical device marketing, product support, or medical device industry product management, with at least 3-5 years of experience highly preferred in Shoulder Arthroplasty. Education: Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Biomedical Engineering, Business, or related Life Sciences; MBA preferred. Clinical Fluency: Ability to discuss anatomy, surgical techniques (Anatomic vs. Reverse Shoulder), and biomechanics comfortably with orthopedic surgeons. Ability to understand clinical terminology and translate it into customer-facing content. Communications: Strong communication and organizational skills with attention to detail.
