Job TitleEmployment Type: Part timeShift: Evening ShiftDescription: ORIENTATION IS MON-FRI 8a-4:30p FOR 2 WEEKS Includes classroom time in Springfield at Mercy Medical CenterPosition Purpose: Completes patient registrations/pre-registration processes in the ED following department procedures using identified technology systems. Processes include obtaining accurate demographic, insurance and patient liability information. Responsible for working with multiple department/hospital and web-based systems.What You Will Do:Performs complete and accurate pre-registrations, registration, and admission functionsVerifies insurance requirements, obtains and understands insurance benefitsEnsures that all entries concerning demographic, financial and advanced directives areCollects non-covered feesMinimum Qualifications:Minimum High school or equivalentOne year experience in an accredited hospital or physician's office preferredStrong interpersonal, communication and interview skillsDemonstrated proficiency in the use of computer systems and computer devicesKnowledge of medical terminology and medical insurancesPosition Highlights:Part time 16hrs every two week cycle (8hr per week) on evenings 3-11:30p, Monday one week, Friday the next.TRAINING/ORIENTATION IS 2 WEEKS MON-FRI 8A-4:30P including time in Springfield, MACompensation and Benefits:At Trinity Health Of New England, we understand that the success of our organization is directly related to our hardworking, compassionate, and dedicated colleagues who contribute their time and skills to help transform healthcare.
