Job Description

Senior Data Analyst/Data Modeler

The design and implementation of functional and non-functional requirements

Integrate with existing and emerging bank technologies

Prepare Functional requirements specification documents in accordance with standard SLDC business practices.

Define Data Repository Conceptual / Logical Data Model based on requirements

Physicalize the data model on Oracle / RDBMS Database

Define Metrics Logical Entities and Attributes

Perform all levels of data analysis, including data mappings, data feeds, data models, and data transformation as related to an Enterprise Environment

Develop fully defined logical and physical data models as related to assigned task and/or project

Provide consultative expertise related to business practices, procedures, requirements, risk management and process improvements

Implement Stored Process and View to upload and access information

Test / Validate the information and access

Test the performance of the implementation

Liaise with technology team to plan and execute requirements

Superior communication skills both written and verbal

Extremely proficient with MS Excel and Access with emphasis on data comparison

Hands on SQL data query knowledge and performance tuning

Ability to derive data models through requirements gathering with developers and end users

Experience with data modeling tools like Erwin

Experience developing both OLTP and Data Warehousing data models

Solid understanding of relational databases

Qualifications

Experience preparing and obtaining acceptance of Functional, Business and Technical requirements

Reference Data Analyst experience

Reference Data Modeling experience

Prior knowledge/experience of working on Enterprise wide Reference Data Systems

Reference Data domain expertise across Equities/Fixed Income/Derivative asset classes
