Caregiver

Job Summary Seeking a compassionate Caregiver to provide companion care for an elderly lady in Arlington. Expect 8 hour shifts. She is moving back home and will be living with her husband. She needs assistance with incontinence care, light housekeeping and meal preparation. She will have a Hoyer lift to assist with transfers and will require standby assistance while walking. Current CNA license is preferred. Benefits: Start at $18 per hour. Opportunity for pay raise to $20 after 3 months. Time and a half for major holidays. Job Responsibilities Follows the instructions of the PAS Supervisor in providing personal assistance services. Provide assistance with hygiene such as bathing, oral care, and dressing. Assist with food preparation; serve food, performs errands, light housekeeping, laundry, wash dishes. Observe and report any safety hazards found in the client’s home or any significant observations regarding the client. Attend staff meetings, attend/complete 12 hours of annual in-services, and participates in orientation of new employees. Report client complaints to the PAS Supervisor. Report abnormal findings in client’s conditions as observed and per care plan to RN. Required Skills & Qualifications Experience: One year of documented experience as a Caregiver (HHA/PCA certificate or current CNA license).
