Position Summary We’re seeking an Engineer I who’s ready to put your skills to work on projects that matter — and build a career with a company that’s building North America. Job Title: Engineer I | Req ID: 16514 | HR Contact: Kyle Jon KEMPEN | Location: Holly Hill Cement Plant, SC About the Role Provide support to the operation and maintenance of the plant’s equipment. What You’ll Accomplish The Engineer will work closely with equipment suppliers, plant staff to ensure successful operation of the plant. Participate in the creation of preventative maintenance routines (PMRs) and bills of materials (BOMs) for new equipment. Ensure bill of materials (BOMS) and equipment history system match within both electronic and hardcopy libraries. Analysis and elimination of repetitive problems through root cause analysis, Pareto analysis, statistical review, FMEA and similar techniques. Support and guide sustainable improvements in Mean Time Between Failure (MTBF) of major equipment. Responsible for the process of gathering input, and facilitate task completion through others. Research solutions to technical problems. Coordinate SAP system operations in the area of preventative maintenance routine (PMR) optimization and development with maintenance planners. Provide technical support, training and development for maintenance functions with specific focus on entrenching reliability concepts within the maintenance group. Be willing to manage various plant improvement projects. Be willing to supervise hourly & contracted employees when necessary. Participate in maintenance on-call system. Be flexible and willing to work off-shifts when necessary. Demonstrate a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to health, safety and environmental policies in all work environments and areas. Promote a culture of safety and exhibit these behaviors. Other duties as assigned. What We’re Looking For Education: Bachelor's degree Field of Study Preferred: Mechanical, Industrial or Electrical Engineering Required Work Experience: 0-3 years Required Technical Skills: Excel, Word, Project, etc. Additional Requirements Self-starter/initiates action/highly motivated team player Strong planning and organizational skills and able to communicate technical information to non-technical team members Ability to grow with the company into positions of increasing responsibility Flexible planning and scheduling skills to be able to execute necessary job in an environment of variable equipment availability Demonstrated technical/professional knowledge Resourceful and innovative Strong and effective written and oral communication skills Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Amrize approved Personal Protection Equipment ("PPE"), including but not limited to respirators. Employees that are required to wear respirators must be clean shaven where the respirator seal meets the face in order to pass the qualitative and quantitative fit tests.
