Your Mission

• Own complex break-fix and scheduled PM for industrial equipment, from diagnosis through verification.
• Trace problems by observing running equipment, then disassemble, repair/replace, adjust instrumentation, and validate with performance tests; recondition machine tools as needed.
• Find and procure the parts, supplies, and repair materials required to keep assets running.
• Operate machine shop tools (lathe, drill press, grinder, and more) to fabricate or repair components; perform welding tasks when necessary.
• Maintain a spotless, organized workspace aligned with 5S principles.
• Lead and contribute to continuous improvement efforts that boost reliability and reduce cost.
• Keep meticulous CMMS records; use asset history to inform smarter maintenance decisions.
• Diagnose and resolve control system issues across software, hardware, and configuration.
• Apply predictive maintenance methods to capture and analyze equipment performance data.
• Mentor entry-level technicians and provide direction to small teams; grow your capabilities through OJT and self-study.
• Champion safety procedures and situational awareness at all times.

What It Takes

• High school diploma or GED.
• Associate degree with a technical focus and 3+ years of industrial experience; or 5+ years related industry experience; or completion of the ATS Technician Progression Program.
• Depth in electrical, mechanical, fluid power/hydraulics, and control systems with hands-on repair expertise.
• Comfort with common hand tools and the specialized tools the job demands.
• Ability to travel if required.

Physical Realities of the Job

Expect frequent standing and walking, constant hands-on work, and regular reaching. You’ll climb and balance (using ladders or lifts), and sometimes work in tight spaces while stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling. Sitting is occasional. You may need to lift or move items weighing more than 50 pounds from time to time. Close and color vision are important. Work can occasionally occur outdoors and may involve exposure to electrical shock risks. The factory is typically very loud, and you may encounter hazardous materials and greasy or slippery floors.

Pay Range: $34.58 - $51.33 USD
